About Us
For more than 150 years and five generations the Simon family, has been a printing enterprise.
“The Printing Rooms of Nicholas Simon” was the name of the first printing establishment in Louisville, Kentucky, which opened in 1866. When it came to the printing of business and dancing cards, Nicholas was a man of vision.
Second and third generations of Simons concentrated on newspaper and trade magazine publishing for more than 90 years in Louisville.
Fourth-generation president Frank E. Simon took office in 1954. When Frank decided to locate his new company in Shepherdsville, he did so with the hope that the wonderful people who lived there would contribute to its growth.
It was in 2010 when Distinct Packabilities, the fifth generation of the Simon family’s flexographic printing business, was established at Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
Elizabeth Simon Montgomery took over as manager and owner of Distinct Packabilities after the sale of Publishers Printing Company and the end of 2018.
